Privacy policy

Short version: what you type into a tool never leaves your browser.

Last updated 25 October 2026

1. Data you enter into tools

All tools on LocalSecTools.com run entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. IP addresses, tokens, secrets, logs, policies and any other content you enter are processed in your device’s memory and are never transmitted to, stored on or logged by any server operated by us. Tools make no network requests with your input. Closing or reloading the tab discards it.

2. Information collected automatically

Our hosting provider (Hostinger) records standard web server logs (IP address, user agent, requested URL and time) for security and reliability. These logs never contain tool input, because tool input is not sent in requests.

2a. Analytics: Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages and tools are used. It records page views and a few interface events, such as loading sample data, copying a result or sending feedback, together with the tool name, your approximate location, device and browser. It never receives what you type into a tool. IP addresses are anonymised. Visitors in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent first, and analytics cookies are not set until they accept; elsewhere you can decline in the cookie banner at any time. You can also install the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

2b. Feedback and contact messages

If you send a message through the contact form or a tool’s “Report an issue” form, we receive the fields you fill in (message, category, tool name, page address and, if you provide them, your name and email address) together with your IP address and browser user agent, which we use to prevent abuse. The message is delivered by email to support@localsectools.com through our email provider (Hostinger) and is kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Tool inputs are never attached.

3. Advertising: Google AdSense and the DoubleClick cookie

We may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google, as a third-party vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on this site. Google’s use of the DoubleClick DART cookie and other advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites on the internet.

  • Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.
  • Advertising scripts never receive the content you type into a tool.

Where required by law, advertising cookies are only set after you accept them in the consent banner. You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site’s storage in your browser, which brings the banner back.

4. Local storage

We store a single value in your browser’s localStorage to remember your cookie consent choice. Tools do not persist your input. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies (_ga, _ga_*) only where analytics storage is permitted.

5. Your rights under GDPR and CCPA

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or California, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data, and to object to processing for analytics or advertising. We hold no tool data and no accounts; requests usually concern analytics or advertising cookies, which you can control as described above, or messages you sent us, which we will delete on request. We do not sell personal information.

6. Children

This site is intended for IT professionals and is not directed at children under 16.
